One of the things that people don't tell you when building an online store is that it's actually somewhat tricky to set up a site that's made to support multiple languages and currencies.

Therefore, you get stuck in a situation where it's difficult to sell to people all over the world.

The customers are forced to use currencies or languages that they aren't used to.

Now, that's a major problem, isn't it?

Well, it certainly is.

But with Smoolis, your entire ecommerce store will be built around the concept of ensuring that you can connect with the entire world through multiple languages and currencies.

Isn't Shopify enough?

That's what you might be thinking. Yes, you're right.

Platforms like WooCommerce and Shopify have some plugins and apps for adding this type of functionality, but they're not always the most impressive, and you would think that an important feature like this would be added by default.

That isn't always the case.

The good news is, an organization called Smoolis has identified the problem and is taking the initiative. They know the fact that most stores, big and small, are going to serve customers from countries across the globe.

Let's take a look at what Smoolis has to offer for online businesses.

Smoolis Review – The Best Features

The Multilingual Multi-Currency Support

The whole foundation of Smoolis focuses on the fact that your site immediately becomes a multilingual and multi-currency destination.

It supports 58 languages and 116 currencies.

Woah, that's a lot.

You get to choose the number of languages and currencies you want to pay for. Ideally, the best way to do so is to run some tests to find the location of your customers, or maybe even make a plan to expand to certain countries.

With the translation tools, everything on your website gets translated for those who need it. This includes the cart and checkout area and, thus enriches the user experience.

As for the multi-currency feature, you have the option to set one currency that's frequently used in your country. Therefore, you don't have to necessarily settle for a currency that's based on where the ecommerce platform is made.

In addition, a currency converter is automatically activated when you add more than one currency to your shopping cart area.

Now, that's really handy and saves you the time spent on Googling currency rates.

A Facebook Store

Not all ecommerce platforms give you a fully integrated Facebook store, so this is an exciting feature. The Facebook store can be generated within minutes, with a tool for syncing up your store products with the Facebook store.

Then, customers can purchase directly through Facebook instead of visiting your website. That's one redirection less and customers would love the idea.

Beautiful, Free Ecommerce Themes

As of this article, Smoolis has nine ecommerce themes you can choose from. That doesn't appear to be a huge collection, but they do look beautiful and modern.

And the best part?

They're free!

Impressive Customization Tools

On the surface, Smoolis looks like a system for beginners, but there are quite a few site customization features included. For instance, you can add videos and maps, while also taking advantage of contact forms, pages, columns and product labels.

The fonts are customizable, and you can change the colors to match your brand. Along with that, you get tools for image zooming, product variations, inventory tracking, and social share buttons.

Discount Codes

You won't find a huge collection of marketing tools with Smoolis, but the discount codes are packaged into the platform for enticing people to shop more from your online shop. It allows you to reward certain customers and promote your store.

For instance, you might share on Facebook that you're about to purchase a Christmas special gift with a discount code. And, the only thing your potential customer will have to do is grab that code and paste it into the checkout field to avail the discount.

I call that a smooth strategy by Smoolis.

Smoolis Review – Customer Support

The majority of customer support from Smoolis is through emails. We'd like to see a phone and live chat support added in the future, but for now, the only medium of contact is through emails.

However, the online documentation is rather informative, with a search bar and a wide variety of articles for help on getting started with your shop and handling topics like the shipping simulator, payment methods, translations, and more.

Smoolis also has a wonderful blog where you can find tips and updates on the platform.

Smoolis Review – Pricing

One of the main reasons Smoolis looks so impressive compared to other ecommerce platforms is because of the pricing structure.

The most inexpensive plan offered starts at $12, which beats out all sorts of competitors. Not only that, but the feature-set is rather appealing for that plan, with no transaction fees, a free SSL certificate, shipping simulator, and much more.

I'll outline all of the pricing plans below. That way you can understand the difference between each one and make an educated decision.

  • Small Plan – $12 per month for your choice of two languages, one currency, 50 products, 20 pages and some interesting features like unlimited storage and bandwidth, 0% transaction fees, discount codes, a Facebook store, a free SSL certificate, search function, contact form, cookie consent, shipping simulator, mobile website, and email support.
  • Medium Plan – $24 per month for your choice of four languages, four currencies, 250 products, and 50 pages. You also get every feature included in the previous plan.
  • Large Plan – $36 per month for your choice of 8 languages, multiple currencies, 500 products, and 100 pages. You also get every feature included in the previous plan.

Overall, I'd say that the Small plan has enough features to satisfy the needs of most small online stores. The 50 product and 20 page limit isn't bad, and you can always upgrade once you've passed that mark.

The final package gives you the most flexibility in terms of pages, currencies, and languages. Yet, you should keep in mind that larger stores might have some trouble with the page and product limits.

Oh yeah, and you get a 14-day free trial.

Should You Consider Smoolis as Your Ecommerce Platform?

It's clear that Smoolis is quite the gem for smaller and mid-sized businesses that crave some powerful language and multi-currency abilities on their ecommerce stores. Gigantic sites with thousands of products and pages aren't going to find a home with Smoolis, but you can go up to 500 products, which is pretty big.

Not to mention, you can't beat the pricing for a sleek, easy-to-use ecommerce platform with everything from Facebook stores to mobile optimization.

Overall, if you would like to expand your sales to other countries, you need to offer different languages and currency support. And that's what Smoolis does best.

So, I highly recommend checking it out to expand your reach across the globe.

If you're interested in Smoolis, it has a 14-day free trial with access to all features. Please leave a comment if you've used this handy tool before.
