Currently, Sell.xyz only integrates with Shopify and WooCommerce. However, getting started with dropshipping using Sell.xyz is equally easy on both platforms. 

Here’s how it works:

After you’ve created your Sell.xyz account, choose a product from their catalog and design it with your own custom label. Then you can edit the product listing from within Sell.xyz, including the product title, media, description, price, and other details. Finally, once you’re happy, hit publish and tick the connected stores you want to sell the product on. Just don’t forget to save your changes!

Order processing with Shopify and WooCommerce is automatic. However, if you don’t have an account with either software, Sell.xyz still allows you to create manual, basic orders to ship to a specific address. This way, you can still access their services without an integrated platform. 

Plus, you can order five product samples per month at a 30% discount.

Sell.xyz Review: Suppliers

Sell.xyz aims to offer high-quality products. To ensure these standards are maintained, they predominantly work with two key suppliers:

1. Cosmetics Nord
2. Vitalabs

Cosmetics Nord has been in the cosmetics business for fifteen years. They manufacture products in Latvia. Their products are EcoCert certified, free of allergens, and vegan. In the spirit of Sell’s commitment to sustainability, they also produce their products using 100% green energy. Since 2006, this full-service cosmetics supplier has sold millions of products across Europe, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.

Vitalabs manufactures vitamins, custom formulations, nutritional products, and supplements. It’s been operating for 45 years. They’re an FDA-registered facility, and they also hold a HALAL certification by the ISA (Islamic Services of America). They are also registered with the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes). Their products are also vegan and made in the USA.

Besides Cosmetics Nord and Vitalabs, Sell.xyz works with several print providers, including Imon, Jondo, and Stakes.

Sell.xyz Review: The Catalog

Typical dropshipping supplier platforms appeal to online sellers with a catalog of thousands of products across tons of product categories. However, Sell.xyz is different in this regard. Instead, its catalog is vetted and extremely small in comparison, focusing only on critical suppliers and tried and tested products.

Within the cosmetics product category, you’ll find the following kinds of products:

Again, you don’t have to create an account with Sell.xyz to use the print-on-demand design editor. This provides a clear indication of where each element sits and the final results. However, you'll have to sign in to view a final product preview. 

The editor clearly indicates the products’ print template, including bleed lines and margins. Essential production elements like the barcode and content information are pre-placed and can’t be moved or altered. However, you can add text and images and alter font, alignment, background color, and text size.

Overall, the editor is quite limited with only very basic design tools. However, you can download the print file template for Adobe Illustrator, enabling you to design your own label with much more advanced design tools. 

Print on Demand

Print on demand is an excellent dropshipping order fulfillment method that allows you to sell customized items without stocking up on inventory yourself. Instead, customer orders are printed and shipped when they come in, and you won’t have to pay anything upfront. You only pay for your dropshipping items once customers have paid you. 

Sell.xyz has recently added dropshipping features into the mix. You can choose products from the following categories:

At the time of writing, Sell.xyz is adding new print on demand products weekly, which means their catalog is expanding at an exciting speed. So if you don’t find what you’re looking for with them yet, there’s a good chance it might be added shortly. 

Customize Your Designs and Choose a Printer

Once you've chosen a product, you can add your own designs using Sell.xyz's easy-to-use design studio. This allows you to customize color, images, text, and lets you decide where on the item you place your design. You can also arrange your design in multiple layers across separate print areas.

Once you’ve finished your design, you can preview it using high-quality product mockups. Then you can choose a print provider based on your design. Sell.xyz lists different providers, their prices, colors, sizes, and print areas that they can effectively print. You can also quickly check the printer location and look up their ratings and reviews.

Sell.xyz also offers design services. You can contact their team and provide them with an outline to create a mockup proposal for your final approval. This service costs 100EUR + VAT and takes about two weeks.

Sell.xyz Review: Pricing and Rates

You don’t need to invest any money upfront, and you’ll only pay suppliers once you make a sale. The base price of each item is clearly indicated in the product catalog. Then after adding an item to your store, you decide your own profit margin.

Cosmetic products range from $6.38 to $14.21, excluding tax. Whereas supplements and vitamins from Vitalabs range from $7.47 to $14.8, excluding tax. There are no order minimums.

If you’re not selling from the US, you can also browse the catalog in EUR or GBP.

Sell.xyz Review: Shipping

Sell.xyz clearly outlines its shipping rates and times on its website, based on the supplier you choose:

Cosmetic Nord ships worldwide, with a focus on European countries. It ships fasted in Latvia with a shipping time of 1-3 business days. For the rest of Europe, the average is 2-5 days. However, it takes 3-6 business days to ship to the Middle East or the US, and locations further afield may take up to eight days.

Shipping rates range from $4.01 to $48.52 for one to eight items, depending on the distance. For 8-40 items, the rates range from $5.15 to $23.82. At this point, it’s worth noting that Cosmetics Nord will not ship more than eight items (per order) outside of Europe.

Vitalabs’ rates are more straightforward. They ship worldwide. Delivery times for the US are 1-5 days. For orders outside the US, it’s 6-10 days. Shipping rates range from $5 in the US to $30 in Canada, to $40 worldwide. These numbers increase with order numbers above eight items.

Sell.xyz Review: Returns and Refunds

Because Sell.xyz’s suppliers are limited, they’ve been able to carefully vet suppliers with trustworthy refund and return policies. Both offer free replacements or refunds if a product arrives damaged or with a manufacturing error, so long as you contact their merchant support team within 30 days of delivery. Unfortunately, refunds don’t extend to customers changing their minds or if a mistake happened on their end. 

Sell.xyz Review: Customer Support and Self-Help Resources

To get in touch with Sell.xyz’s team, you can write an email or book a call via Calendly. Unfortunately, there’s no indication of how long they generally take to get back to you.

In terms of self-help resources, Sell.xyz is also rather limiting. While they have an online help center, it only features 28 articles, none of which go into great depth on the topics they cover. In many instances, you’ll only find a few sentences briefly answering your question.

All in all, Sell.xyz is still a very young company with its heart in the right place. Their brand is based on an admirable model that ensures high product quality, sustainability, and products suitable to vegans and vegetarians. In addition, they offer very generous discounts if you’re ordering product samples. They also provide a single refund policy across their whole catalog, which works wonders for providing merchants with much-needed peace of mind.

In summary: We think that Sell.xyz is worth keeping an eye on. We think they’ll continue to expand their offering in the near future, and we’re excited to see what that will look like! However, right now, if you’re not starting out with a significant focus on sustainable cosmetic products, Sell.xyz is probably too niche and limiting for your store.
